The City of Thunder Bay’s website where you can find out information about what is going on in the city in regards to recycling and other environmental matters.
Recool is a locally owned and operated recycling and waste management company who has been serving Thunder Bay and area citizens and businesses since 1991. They collect our recyclables and send them out into the market to be recycled.
EarthWise is a partnership between the City of Thunder Bay and a network of volunteers. They have agreed to work together on the issue of climate change and community sustainability. The main priority for EarthWise is to create a Community Environmental Action Plan (CEAP), which you can find out more about on their website.
EcoSuperior was incorporated in 1994 by the Lakehead Environmental Action Group in order to address environmental issues in Thunder Bay and area. Through partnerships with local businesses and industry as well as all levels of government, they strive to increase public awareness and participation in building a cleaner, greener community and a healthy environment.
ZWAT is a self-supporting organization started in 1992 by members of the commercial, industrial and institutional sector (IC&I) and community organizations. They are working together to eliminate waste, manage resources, promote local jobs and economic self- sufficiency.
Litter Free Thunder Bay strives to create a litter conscious Thunder Bay through public education. Their goal is to change the attitudes and behaviours of those who litter in the city.

Stewardship Ontario started up this site in order to promote Blue Box recycling and to spread awareness about recycling. It’s there to educate everyone as well and to provide information about all communities and what they recycle.
The Recycling Council of Ontario was created in 1978 committed to minimizing society’s impact on the environment by eliminating waste. They are actively involved in assisting municipalities, corporations, other organizations and individuals in reducing their waste.
A US site that focuses on not only recycling, but making the world a better place through environmental thinking. They have many great ideas and not only focus on the US but on Canada and the rest of the world as well.
